~ Showering Mom’s-to-Be ~

The past few months have been busy… especially with baby shower cakes! My sister and I are both expecting and I’ve loved making these cakes to celebrate. Only a few short weeks left until we are blessed with little ones. Can’t wait to find out what we’re having 🙂

Parties, Parties, Parties!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks! Bridal showers, baby showers, engagement parties and birthdays. Here’s a snapshot of what I’ve been up to!

Wedding publication

My friends Melissa and Adam were recently featured in Cincinnati Wedding magazine’s spring/summer issue! I had the honor of making 3 wedding cakes for their special day. Which means my name was included in the list of vendors… pretty cool!  I posted about their beautiful wedding last fall, here.

I loved the bridesmaids fur coats!

there’s my name! 🙂

~ Decorated Cookies ~

These cookies may be my favorite yet! I’ve seen the lingerie cookies before on other blogs I follow, but haven’t had an excuse to make them… until last week! My Aunt contacted me last minute looking for cookies for her daughter Katie’s bachelorette party. Of course I was happy and excited to do it! These cookies definitely tested my creativity! The corsets are my fav 🙂

Check out additional pictures under the “other treats” page for all the cookies I made for the bachelorette

Check out these cookies I made for my good friends bridal shower. Using her wedding color, lavender, I decorated cookies that were  favors for all the guests! Such an easy and cute gift 🙂

Mr. & Mrs.

My friends Melissa and Adam got married! I had the honor of doing not one, but three cakes for their wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony and reception. Melissa wanted the cakes to match the color theme of the reception – gold, silver and nickel. The only request of the groom: Funfetti cake. But let’s face it, it’s just good cake 🙂 The other two cakes were Hummingbird with cream cheese buttercream filling and Tiramisu with buttercream filling.

{Summer Wedding}

Friends of mine, Kiley and Noah, asked if I would make a cake and cupcakes for Noah’s sister’s wedding here in Cincinnati. The bride wanted an elegant display that incorporated her green and gold reception theme. We went with a damask design on the top cake and to make the cupcakes uniform, topped each with ivory buttercream in a rose swirl. For the final touch, I topped the cake with fresh ivory roses and subtle greenery.

Cupcake flavors: Coconut cream, Lemon White Chocolate, Red velvet, Vanilla with Raspberry filling, and Chocolate with Bavarian Cream filing.

Farm Wedding

I had the opportunity to make a cake and cupcakes for a wedding a few weekends ago. It was a gorgeous day and the setting was beautiful. The cake was fresh strawberry with buttercream and decorated with fondant accents. The cupcakes were a variety of carrot cake, vanilla with raspberry filling and chocolate with bavarian cream filling. Congratulations Matt and Sue.

Check out the cupcake stand – handmade by the Groom. What a great addition to my cakes and cupcakes! I was so thrilled with how it turned out and so appreciative of the hard work. I LOVE it 🙂

So… I’m loving these cake pop baskets! They are almost too pretty to eat, don’t you think? Two of my co-workers requested Easter themed cake pop baskets for their family parties. Cute and Delicious!

Shout out to my sister, Stefanie, who stayed up late with me on a Thursday night to finish the baskets!

Two Peas in a Pod

This past week I received an order for a cake pop basket for a baby shower – twin boys! The theme was “Two Peas in A Pod”, how adorable!
